The Wells Family

6-8 pm Lake Benson Park, Garner, NC

A show by the Wells Family Band of North Carolina will feature a powerful acoustic sound, great songwriting skills, tight family harmonies, rousing a capella numbers, driving instrumentals, and a great sense of humor. The Wells' create a unique and diverse sound influenced by bluegrass, gospel, country, folk, and pop, without falling neatly into any category. The band consists of Gary Wells (upright bass), Debi Wells (guitar), and their daughters Sara (5-string banjo), Jade (mandolin), and Eden (fiddle).

The Wells Family has charted #1 on many bluegrass radio charts, and their original single "Moment In Time" charted #1 consecutively for 3 weeks on the Clear Channel Country Radio New Artist Chart. Several of their original songs have been chosen for the distinguished IBMA Songwriters Showcase. They have played stages such as the Pickin' Porch, which was filmed for CMT Loaded online. The band's product endorsements for Sam Ash, GHS Strings, Beard Guitars, and Intellitouch Tuners are a representation of the level of respect they have earned in the music industry.

The Wells' have played to sold out crowds at high-profile venues across the United States and Canada, and at events which included such luminaries as Ricky Skaggs, Ralph Stanley, Marty Stuart, Del McCoury, Rhonda Vincent, Seldom Scene, The Dillards, and others.

The Wells' music is played in Australia, Canada, Europe, and Japan, and they were one of the bands chosen to perform Central Canadian Bluegrass Awards. So not only are they sweeping the nation with their unique sound, they are delighting audiences worldwide.

Bring a picnic and a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the great music and beautiful scenery for the best price in town--FREE. For directions and more information, please call (919) 990-1902.
