Big Banjo Clock Hangs Over Downtown Raleigh

The iconic big banjo clock was installed high above City Plaza and is now counting down the days, hours, minutes and seconds until IBMA Bluegrass Live powered by PNC hits the streets.

The big banjo countdown clocks have been a part of the festival build up since the early days of the event. It was created by local artist Jeff Magner and pops up around town each year.

The banjos have spent time at the airport, the train station and in front of the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts.

Check out this time lapse video of the installation on City Plaza.
