Acoustic Manner closes out the inaugural Pickin’ in the Plaza series with The Hey Brothers.
Acoustic Manner is Shawn Chase on mandolin and vocals; Walter Hensey on bass guitar; David Kleiss on guitar and vocals; Hank Smith on banjo and vocals; and Lindsey Tims on fiddle and vocals. Billing themselves as “sophisticated string music with ramble aplenty,” they compare their sound to groups and artists ranging from New Grass Revival, Bela Fleck, Sam Bush, and the David Grisman Quintet to Leftover Salmon, Tony Rice, Mike Marshall, and Barefoot Manner, among others.
The Hey Brothers are an accomplished group of pickers: Keith Sikes on bass, John Dudley on banjo, Brian English on fiddle, Allen Ray, Tim Lee on guitar. Tim Lee also designed the artwork for this year’s Wide Open Bluegrass! Before the music starts on-stage, musicians are invited to jam on the plaza from 5-6:30!
