Jam Session
In this online workshop for beginners, you’ll learn tips and techniques for bluegrass jamming from local musicians Sam Stage (fiddle), Jef Walter (bass and guitar), Spencer Mobley (mandolin and guitar), and Hank Smith (banjo). Topics to be covered include:
- Playing the melody
- Making the melody your own with embellishments and doublestops
- Playing solos using a “lick”
Due to Zoom’s limitations on how many people can be on a call at one time, registration is required. A suggested donation of $10 is welcome, but not required.
