Concert
Spend an evening enjoying the music of Bela Fleck and the Flecktones as interpreted by Blu-Bop, a Triangle, NC-based seven piece ensemble whose repertoire includes music from every era of the Flecktones’ works. Featuring Hank Smith (banjo), E Scott Warren (bass), Adam Snow (drums), Justin W. Powell (piano), Lindsey Tims (guitar, mandolin, fiddle), Paul Messinger (harmonica), and Myron Koch (saxophone), this ensemble works hard to recreate the music as accurately as possible, while also using the Flecktones’ tunes as a jumping off point to demonstrate their own improvisational skills and techniques in the spirit of the musicians who inspired them to undertake this project.
