Raleigh is getting in the bluegrass spirit in anticipation of the second year of IBMA’s World of Bluegrass being hosted here, and the Busy Bee Café will host an extra bluegrass jam this month the night before the official start of this year’s World of Bluegrass conference.
This jam will run in addition to the usual jams that meet the second and fourth Mondays of each month – the dates for bluegrass jams at the Busy Bee will be September 8, 22, AND 29!
While the PineCone Bluegrass Jam welcomes musicians of all skill levels to participate, it is not a learning jam (often referred to as a “slow jam” in bluegrass circles). The jam is still a great place for musicians to meet and get to know each other, and listeners are welcome to come out and enjoy the music and camaraderie, too.
PineCone is very grateful to the Busy Bee for their ongoing support of the jam – they have been the host venue for the PineCone Bluegrass Jam for more than four years! They also helped connect PineCone with Terrapin Beer Company, which donates $1 to PineCone for every pint of Terrapin Rye Pale Ale sold during the jam!
Start your World of Bluegrass experience with a night of music and camaraderie at Raleigh’s year-round bluegrass jam venue!
