Carolina PineCones members Sam Stage (fiddle), Natalie Mundorf (guitar), Jacob Day (mandolin), and Emma Day (fiddle) will perform at the Cary Downtown Farmers Market. Jef Walter, who has served as the band mentor since they started performing together earlier this year, will play bass. Moved by the death of bluegrass legend Ralph Stanley in June, the students are proud to be learning some Stanley Brothers classics, like “Worried Man Blues” and “Meet Me By the Moonlight.”
The Carolina PineCones rehearse at least once a month, and often jam together as well. Please come show your support for these young musicians! And save the date to see them at Live & Local Bluegrass on Hillsborough Street on Sunday, Sept. 25.
