In this online workshop hosted by two-time IBMA award winner Tray Wellington, participants will look at techniques for moving fiddle tunes up the neck and common positions to play these fiddle tunes, utilizing the song “Red Haired Boy.”
Wellington is an ETSU alum with a degree from the Bluegrass, Old-Time, and Country Music program. Wellington is a two-time IBMA Momentum Award Winner, including the 2019 IBMA Momentum Instrumentalist of the Year, and 2019 IBMA Momentum Band of the Year with Cane Mill Road. Wellington has played some of the biggest festivals in the United States, and he has shared the stage with many of his heroes including Béla Fleck, Tony Trischka, Jens Kruger, Noam Pikelny, Kristin Scott Benson, Bryan Sutton, and more.
NOTE: This workshop will be recorded and distributed to registered attendees for use as a learning tool. A highlights video will be produced and shared to promote future workshops and events.
