The Busy Bee Cafe is no more, but the PineCone Bluegrass Jam continues in the same location, now named Trophy Tap & Table! Come on by for music and camaraderie, and to try out the new menu in the Busy Bee’s former location.
The jam welcomes all musicians looking for opportunities to play bluegrass music and all fans who want to listen and share in the camaraderie! While the PineCone Bluegrass Jam welcomes musicians of all skill levels to participate, it is not a learning jam (often referred to as a “slow jam” in bluegrass circles). However, beginners are welcome – the jam is a great place for musicians to meet and get to know other bluegrass musicians and to learn how the jam runs.
Parking
Parking in the Moore Square Parking Deck is free after 7 p.m. The Moore Square Parking Deck is only 179 feet NW of Trophy Chicken, and the deck does have an elevator.
Street parking is free in downtown Raleigh after 5 p.m.; if you happen to find a parking space on the street and want to catch a ride to the restaurant, you can use the free downtown Raleigh R-Line circulator bus, which runs until 11 p.m. on Monday nights and has a stop just a couple blocks from Trophy (NOTE: the R-Line does NOT stop at Wilmington & Martin after 6:30 p.m.; it does stop at Moore Square).
You can also use a local rickshaw service, like Raleigh Rickshaw or Crank Arm Rickshaw – both are free, with drivers working for tips.
