You don’t have to wait for Wide Open Bluegrass to enjoy great opportunities for bluegrass jamming – look no further than the Busy Bee Café in downtown Raleigh – they host the PineCone Bluegrass Jam on the second and fourth Monday of every month. The jam runs from 7 – 10 p.m. While the PineCone Bluegrass Jam welcomes musicians of all skill levels to participate, it is not a learning jam (often referred to as a “slow jam” in bluegrass circles). However, beginners are welcome – the jam is a great place for musicians to meet and get to know each other and to learn how the jam runs. And listeners are welcome to come out and enjoy the music and camaraderie, too!

The PineCone Bluegrass Jam is sponsored by Terrapin, which donates $1 to PineCone for every pint of Terrapin Rye Pale Ale sold during the bluegrass jam!
