The PineCone Youth Council is a group of young musicians dedicated to fostering a vibrant, connected, and ever-growing community of youth who play traditional roots music in the greater Triangle area. Having met through PineCone’s summer bluegrass camps, they plan monthly jam sessions and other programs where local youth can share tunes and make music together – and that’s just what they plan to do at Marbles on September 25th! Members of the Youth Council will share a mix of classic bluegrass, old-time, and other roots music with their banjos, mandolins, fiddles, and guitars in hand. Buckle up for some traditional tunes from fresh faces, by kids and for kids, as a part of Music Month at Marbles.
This event will be outdoors in the Marbles Courtyard Meadow and is free to attend.
After this demonstration, the monthly PineCone Youth Bluegrass Jam will meet at the Pecan Grove outside the Sertoma Arts Center in Raleigh – any young musicians ages 18 & under are welcome to participate!
