With a style and repertoire rooted in the African American musical traditions of congregational hymn singing, Johnston County’s Branchettes are one of North Carolina’s most celebrated traditional gospel ensembles, captivating audiences from the deep south to Northern Ireland and everywhere in between. They have been performing together for more than 40 years.
