For this month’s special guest, we have none other than Raleigh’s own Eliza Meyer! She’s not only won a number of titles in fiddle and folksong categories at conventions in Mount Airy, Galax, Grayson County, and Alleghany, among others, but also recently released her debut album, Hello Stranger, featuring a star-studded band including Alice Gerrard, Cathy Fink, and Marcy Marxer.
Here’s her haunting rendition of “The Cuckoo” from that project.
Eliza will be sharing some expertise on the old time genre and tunes with us, so don’t miss it! As always, there will be plenty of time to share a song or two that you’ve been working on and plenty of space to just hang out.
This program is open to musicians ages 18 and under, and is organized by the PineCone Youth Council.
