PineCone Members likely already know Lynda Dawson. She is a member herself, a regular at Down Home Concerts and has a long history with the organization.
“The people, music and mission of this fine organization are already near and dear to my heart,” says Lynda.
Lynda is one of the founders and longtime teachers at PineCone’s Bluegrass Camp. In 2013 she served as a member of the first Local Organizing Committee formed to host IBMA’s World of Bluegrass in Raleigh.
“I feel lucky that I’ll now be able to help PineCone thrive through my work, and look forward to connecting with everyone around our shared passion for traditional and roots music in our community.”
Lynda brings to PineCone considerable experience in the acoustic music world. She worked for years at Sugar Hill Records handling recordings by Doc Watson, Nickel Creek, Dolly Parton and other legends. She’s also been a touring musician and is an accomplished songwriter. In 2020 she won an IBMA Award for “The Barber’s Fiddle,” a song she co-wrote with Becky Buller.
