IBMA Accepting Volunteer Applications for 2016 World of Bluegrass and Wide Open Bluegrass

Volunteer at 2016 World of Bluegrass Events

The International Bluegrass Music Association's World of Bluegrass is coming up Sept. 27-Oct. 1, and PineCone and the local organizing committee are once again helping them recruit energetic, enthusiastic volunteers who want to help make this year's series of events the best ever. Volunteers are the backbone of this growing collection of events, and we utilize the talents of at least 300 people each year to help ensure that the events run smoothly.

Sign up today to help make World of Bluegrass 2016 a world-class music industry event.

Volunteer perks

It's a rewarding experience to be directly involved in making sure such a large music industry and festival event succeeds, but volunteers also get some special perks and the chance to interact with all our musical heroes! Volunteers who work three shifts are entitled to the following:

  • Free parking on the days you volunteer.
  • Volunteer T-shirt.
  • Volunteer-only hospitality area.
  • Admission to the business conference
  • Admission to the Bluegrass Ramble.
  • Volunteers who wish to purchase tickets (while available) to the Wide Open Bluegrass Festival at the Red Hat Amphitheater will be extended the member price (a $10 per day discount)!  Access code will be included with your job assignment email sent out by July 29.

Volunteers are required to work a total of three (3) four-hour shifts over the course of the week in order to receive the volunteer perks.  Shifts can start as early as 7:30 a.m. and end as late as 2:00 a.m.  We appreciate our volunteers very much and utilize their talents and experience throughout World of Bluegrass week for various duties.
