International Bluegrass Music Association’s World of Bluegrass Generated $10.8 Million in Direct Visitor Spending

The Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau (GRCVB) announced today that the week-long event generated an estimated $10.8 million in direct visitor spending for Raleigh and Wake County and welcomed more than 180,000 people.

The story of a remarkable African American family with a deep roots in North Carolina continues in this sequel to the award winning A Singing Stream: A Black Family Chronicle. The new film will premier on Saturday, August 23 in Durham as part of the 80th Anniversary celebration of the combined Harris, Landis, Lawrence, Byrd, and Green families, making it one of the oldest continuous black family reunions in North Carolina.
