PineCone is a finalist for “Best Unplugged Concert Venue in Wake County.”
You can vote for PineCone at the INDYWeek website, look for us in the Arts Section. PineCone’s nomination is listed on the ballot as “AJ Fletcher Theater (PineCone).” The last day to vote is March 29, 2023.
The AJ Fletcher Theater in the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts is the home venue for PineCone’s Down Home Concert Season. Over the years, the series has included acoustic music luminaries like Billy Strings, Molly Tuttle, The Wailin’ Jennys, Dan Tyminski and Lunasa. The 2023 Season has featured sold out shows with Kruger Brothers, The Steel Wheels, Sierra Hull and Justin Moses.
After a recent Down Home Concert banjo great Jens Kruger said, “I just love playing this room (AJ Fletcher Theater). You walk out and it’s so comfortable, it’s like playing in a living room with friends.”
