PineCone’s 2023 Down Home Concert Season featured: The Steel Wheels (with Dawn Landes opening); Sierra Hull & Justin Moses (with Joseph Decosimo opening); Kruger Brothers celebrated Doc Watson’s 100th (with Piney Woods Boys opening); Dawn Landes reimagines The Liberated Woman’s Songbook with Alice Gerrard, Emily Frantz (from Watchhouse), Rissi Palmer, Charly Lowry, Lizzy Ross (from Violet Bell) and Kamara Thomas; The Wailin’ Jennys; The 2023 North Carolina Heritage Awards featuring Rhonda Gouge, Neal Thomas, Richard Bowman, Butch and Louise Goings; Sacred Soul & Bluegrass featuring The Cockman Family, The Glorifying Vines, Jim Watson & Mike Craver, Faith & Harmony.

All performances were held in the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh.
