Singer-songwriter Erin McDermott comes to central North Carolina from her home in central Vermont to share her original, heartfelt songs that tell stories of life, longing, and love – personal tales with universal themes. McDermott showcased at the IBMA World of Bluegrass in 2012, and she has collaborated ACM “Fiddle Player of the Year” Stuart Duncan, IBMA “Guitarist of the Year” Bryan Sutton, and Grammy Award winner Tim O’Brien. O’Brien says of her music: “Erin McDermott writes short stories in song about small town life in Vermont. Her characters come alive in the songs and you get to know these real people by the time the second chorus comes around. With a voice as strong and as uniquely expressive as her lyrics, Erin is a songwriter to watch in the coming years.” She will be joined by Jeremy Darrow (bass), Sterling Abernathy (mandolin), Justin Hiltner (banjo) and Shad Cobb (fiddle).
