Make live music part of your First Friday plans with the Wildwood Sirens at the City of Raleigh Museum! Wildwood Sirens is a collection of women from different backgrounds who have all found inspiration in the music of Appalachia. By weaving together their different experiences and styles, they create a sound that incorporates strong roots and bluegrass influences, but can also summon a modern alt/indie spirit. Always with haunting harmonies running through the music, the Wildwood Sirens raise their voices together in a living tribute to womanhood and partnership in the creative process.
You can also enjoy the Museum’s current exhibits and enjoy a relaxing evening with fellow PineCone members and music and art lovers. We will provide light hors d’oeuvres, as well as beer (courtesy of Trophy Brewing), wine (courtesy of the Friends of the COR Museum), and non-alcoholic beverages.
